Dear Biffo....Its over.

Today was Brian Cowens last day in office. Cowen took office on the 7th of May 2008. How things have changes since that day. Where did it all go wrong? The blunder of admitting that he had not read the Lisbon Treaty document during Lisbon 1? His complacency during the beginning of the economic crisis? His refusal to admit that he was under pressure and out of his depth? Who knows... we'll let history and Vincent Brown judge such matters. Today, Mother Ireland sent Biffo his Dear John letter.....

"Dear Biffo,

I suppose you knew this letter was coming. I knew you had given up on winning me back when you stood down on the 22nd of January last. But you and I both know it was over long before then dear Biffo, don't we?

Lets not play games. You had me but you weren't man enough to keep me. To your credit, Bertie was a hard act to follow. He wasn't a considerate lover, but he could lie through his teeth and he had a way of appearing both charming and stupid at the same time.

I want you to get on with your life. Go home and enjoy your massive pay out. You'll probably make money off public speaking, when the Irish people forget what you done to them. As for me, well Ive found a new man to love me. His name is Enda, and hes a perfect 10. He'll look after me, even if it means cutting the old age pension to zero and burning down all the hospitals in the country. He'll do that for me.
